Reserved monthly capacity.

A fixed number of development hours is reserved each month for ongoing frontend development work. Choose 32, 64, 96 or 128 hours, depending on the amount of support you need.

Period and termination

You can start with the smallest capacity — 32 hours — for the first month. The initial term is one month, with no automatic renewal. If both sides want to continue, the next month's capacity and terms are confirmed before the term ends, and the engagement then renews monthly. Ending or reducing capacity needs notice — 14 days in the first six months, 30 days after that.

Payment and capacity

Monthly fees are prepaid by default and reserve the agreed capacity for that month — unused hours aren't refunded or carried over. If more work comes up, additional hours are agreed in advance and billed at EUR 75 per hour.

Frontend Development is available for a defined piece of work or as ongoing support. You do not need to choose the engagement model before getting in touch.

Project-Based

For a defined frontend feature, interface, improvement or delivery period with a defined outcome. The scope, deliverables, timeline and pricing approach are agreed for the individual project before work begins.

Ongoing Support

For recurring development, updates and improvements that need to continue over time. A fixed amount of development capacity is reserved each month, with work prioritised within the agreed capacity and working arrangement.

Accessibility is considered as part of Frontend Development. Where relevant issues are identified during implementation, they can be addressed where feasible within the agreed development scope. When accessibility assessment and remediation are the primary purpose of the work, this is provided separately through Accessibility Remediation.

Web Development Services focuses on web development and implementation within the agreed role and scope. Sola Studio can work with your existing designers, engineers, content teams and external vendors, with responsibilities confirmed before work begins.

Visual design, branding, backend architecture, infrastructure and overall project management are treated as separate responsibilities unless they are explicitly included in the agreed scope.

Work directly with the engineer delivering the work.

Sola Studio is run by Yoko Shiina, a frontend developer whose experience spans React and Next.js product development, web applications, internal tools and accessibility. You will work directly with her from the initial discussion through implementation and delivery.

Internal Energy Operations Dashboard — UX Engineering for Planning and Mode Switching
This case study focuses on the UX engineering behind Operation Planning and Operation Mode Switching, two of several features I contributed to within an existing internal dashboard for a smart-city energy environment. My main output was a detailed technical UI specification covering interaction behaviour, UI states, frontend validation, error handling, and data flow, supported by Figma materials and working prototypes. I also coordinated frontend data needs with the backend engineer and stayed involved through vendor implementation and production release by reviewing the code, providing code for specific changes in review comments, and making changes myself when needed.

A first-release Web3 education platform MVP where I served as the sole frontend engineer, covering UI implementation, Web3 onboarding, API endpoint co-design, and Prisma schema adjustments. The wallet-to-certificate flow was implemented as one continuous journey, with clarity for non-technical users considered throughout.

An internal tool supporting the creation of monthly client-facing PDF reports for a Tokyo-based sales team. The work included mapping a workflow that had been concentrated in the hands of one backend engineer and implementing a React-based UI covering data selection, chart preview, and multi-page PDF export. After testing the MVP with selected real reports, individual processing times indicated that a workflow taking up to ten working days could potentially be completed within a few hours.
