Sola Studio develops Shopify storefronts for businesses selling across the UK, Europe and Japan. Projects can include improvements to an existing Shopify store or a custom React storefront connected to Shopify’s product, inventory, cart and checkout infrastructure.

Period and termination
You can start with the smallest capacity — 32 hours — for the first month. The initial term is one month, with no automatic renewal. If both sides want to continue, the next month's capacity and terms are confirmed before the term ends, and the engagement then renews monthly. Ending or reducing capacity needs notice — 14 days in the first six months, 30 days after that.
Payment and capacity
Monthly fees are prepaid by default and reserve the agreed capacity for that month — unused hours aren't refunded or carried over. If more work comes up, additional hours are agreed in advance and billed at EUR 68 per hour.
Websites & Ecommerce Development is available for a defined piece of work or as ongoing support. You do not need to choose the engagement model before getting in touch.
For a website, page, campaign or improvement with a defined outcome. The scope, deliverables, timeline and pricing approach are agreed for the individual project before work begins.
For recurring development, updates and improvements that need to continue over time. A fixed amount of development capacity is reserved each month, with work prioritised within the agreed capacity and working arrangement.

Accessibility is considered throughout the implementation of websites and ecommerce storefronts, including semantic structure, keyboard interaction, focus behaviour and interface states within the agreed scope. Formal accessibility assessments, detailed compliance reviews and extensive remediation programmes are provided separately through Accessibility Remediation.
Web Development Services focuses on web development and implementation within the agreed role and scope. Sola Studio can work with your existing designers, engineers, content teams and external vendors, with responsibilities confirmed before work begins.
Visual design, branding, backend architecture, infrastructure and overall project management are treated as separate responsibilities unless they are explicitly included in the agreed scope.
Sola Studio is run by Yoko Shiina, a web developer with an accessibility focus — with experience across websites, ecommerce, digital campaigns and product interfaces. You will work directly with her from the initial discussion through implementation and delivery.

Redesigned the storefront, information architecture, and navigation of a beauty appliance brand operating on a major Japanese ecommerce marketplace. As part of the same initiative, I reworked individual pages for several underperforming products, covering product communication strategy, page structure, copywriting, visual design, and implementation.
An end-to-end corporate website redesign spanning brand clarification, information architecture, UI, frontend implementation, and post-launch measurement. Product, navigation, and support content were restructured to make key information easier to find and communicate the brand’s values more coherently.
Planned and delivered a social-sharing giveaway campaign for a beauty appliance brand seeking to expand awareness. The work covered participation mechanics, campaign page design and implementation, Facebook advertising, social promotion, application management, winner communication, and fulfilment coordination.
